A French Approach to Fragrance, with an Australian Heart
When most people think of fine fragrance, they imagine the streets of Grasse, the capital of perfumery in the South of France. As a young family we have spent every birthday of my twins in the South- about 20 minutes outside of Grasse. This past year while I was pregnant with my third, we stayed in Opio/Valbonne for 3 months, shopping in Grasse for items we couldn’t find in the smaller towns... like perfume.
When I think of Grasse I think of water fountains full of rose petals, of flower fields, of windy streets in the old town and of course… of perfume.
There’s ceremonial component in French perfumery, a serious tradition where even the way you spray perfume is done with intention. For example it is traditional that when a woman spays perfume it is in a “O” shape framing the face, for men it is a “V”.
I fell in love with that legacy, with the traditions. However, I saw something missing: a scent experience that honoured the transformative nature of motherhood. One that held the same sophistication as a fine French perfume, but without the hidden risks so common in traditional formulations.
So we reimagined fine fragrance, from the base up.

Our formulas begin with a base of native botanicals such as wild rosella, wattle, boronia, sandalwood, and honey, chosen for both their aromatherapeutic properties and their uniquely feminine scent profiles. These ingredients are gentle, grounding, and alive with emotional resonance.
Unlike traditional perfumes, our fragrances contain no alcohol, no phthalates, and no synthetic musks. Every layer of our formula is designed to be worn during breastfeeding, postpartum, and even pregnancy.
